ABOUT
Originally from Colorado, Ryan received a B.F.A. in film production from Chapman University and spent 10+ years in the entertainment industry as a producer, editor, cinematographer, designer and teacher. Ryan subsequently obtained an M.Arch degree from Academy of Art University where he graduated as valedictorian and was awarded the AIA Henry Adams medal for excellence.
With a multidisciplinary flair for design and an aggressive work ethic, Ryan strives to advance his skill set through architectural and graphic design. Having previously designed retail environments with MG2 and schools with Dougherty (formerly Doughery + Dougherty Architects), Ryan is now working on residential and civic projects for Coates Design Architects in Bainbridge Island, Washington.
Ryan sees every challenge as an opportunity for thoughtful, enriching, contextual design. Whether the problem is large or small, he believes each unique condition deserves a well-crafted solution.
Ryan resides in Bainbridge Island with his wife, 2 kids and 2 dogs.
